Weather 03/08/12

The wether today was pretty mild temperature but the wind had picked up significantly today and was blowing NW at around 30mph that is the highest velocity seen for a while. The sky was 10/10 covered by clouds today and this means that it was overcast. There was no rainfall but still waiting for some from the overcast skies we have had over the past couple of days. The clouds do not promise much however as the wind direction and the fact they are stratus clouds tells me not to expect much. I expect more clouds tomorrow and for it to be dry not overly exciting as seems to be the norm at the moment.

Weather 03/07/12

Eau Claire had a pretty modest day in terms of weather. The rain i was expecting did not fall and that cloud system that developed yesterday stayed around so there is the chance of some precipitation tomorrow. The day was pretty overcast with around 10/10 cloud cover. There was not much wind atall but there was a slight breeze blowing westerly winds into the Eau Claire at about 5mph. The clouds looked mostly stratus so i still expect a little precipitation tomorrow as the clouds promised today. I expect the clouds to clear out a bit tomorrow after some early precipitation and i expect another mild march day with around low 40's temperature much like today!

Weather 03/06/12

The weather today was very interesting as there was much happening that would have often passed me by but today this was not the case. The day started off with the sun splitting the sky. There were halos around the sun and there were cirus and culmulo clouds in the sky. the wind was blowing East at about 10 mph and there was cloud cover of about 2/10 which shows that clouds were scattered across the skies. This easterly wind is telling us to expect rain in the next 30 hours and that seemed to be the case as the cloud cover thickened to 10/10 and was really overcast by the end of the day. i expect this trend to continue and we should expect some precipitation tomorrow although there was none today.

Weather 03/05/12

The weather back in eau claire started out pretty bright and got more cloudy as the day moved on. i would say there was about 50 % cloud cover throught the day. the clouds looked like stratus clouds with not much moisture and possibly due to the clouds being largely affected by the continental polar winds blowing in from southern Canada. There was a brief period of snowfall at around 3pm however accumulation i don't think even came to an inch. There is slightly higher winds today around 10 mph blowing from the SE. The temperature is around 30degrees Fhowever with the wind it feels slightly colder than that. By the looks of this weather map i forcast that temperatures may riseover the next few days and i predict more presipitation as the warm and colder air mix. Possibly some snow.

Weather 03/04/12

The weather in Madison today was largely the same as yesterday there seems to have been no snow during the night however there was some precipitation that started falling at around 3pm. The clouds were nimbus clouds and this expains the precipitation. there was little wind around 3mph from the NW. There Sky was very overcast with 100% cloud cover. I will be back in Eau Claire for tomorrows weather report so normal service shall be resumed.

Weather 03/03/12

The weather in Madison today was a very overcast day with 100%cloud cover. The clouds look mostly cumulo nimbus and my theory is supported because there was precipitation in the form of snow yesterday.            There has been no precipitation today but i expect some overnight possibly. there has been a slight breeze blowing about 5mph from the north. So i believe this storm system will stay over madison for the next couple of days. My forecast for tomorrow is that thee will be some more snow and the temp will remain fairly constant at 26 degrees F.  

Weather 02/02/12

The weather today in Eau Claire Wisconsin is 100% overcast and the clouds look primarily stratus based. there is no precipitation at the moment but there should be some expected over the weekend as the storm system continues to move over the area. There is a breese i would say about 8mph from the NW and i think this will pick up as the day progresses. Judging by this weather map we may miss the storm over the weekend and it may hit Madison which is just my luck as i am staying there this weekend. However Michigan East looks like they will get some light snow as southern Wisconsin looks to get a heavier coating.So for the weekend hopefully Madison will have some interesting weather look out for my posts from there!
